Acutonics Sound and Vibrational Therapy
Acutonics® is a non-invasive form of energy therapy using sound and vibration from tuning forks, symphonic gongs and Tibetan singing bowls. Co-created by Donna Carey and Marjorie de Muynck in 1991, the Acutonics® System integrates philosophies from Oriental medicine, acupuncture, planetary astrology and Taoism to address the effects of stressful Western living, creating a holistic approach to energy work and health goals.
Corresponding energetic signatures are uncovered by discussing symptoms, energy levels, and what is going on in one’s life. For the most tailored/individual treatment, one’s natal astrology chart can be used to draw upon easy aspects as well as diminish challenging life patterns. Integrating these signatures is the foundation to the Acutonics® treatment.
Acutonics® sessions include placing tuning forks on acupressure points on the body in order to access energetic pathways and centers such as meridians, chakras and extraordinary vessels. The corresponding energetic signatures are then addressed with specific tuning forks. Several tuning forks can be used on a point to direct energy toward a desired outcome. Tibetan singing bowls are placed on the body, creating a sonic vibration in the body, to heighten the tuning fork work. The planetary gongs are used at the end of the session to amplify and insulate the effects of the session.
